Dam Concorde!
A special composite image depicting Concorde departing Leeds Bradford airport as seen from Yeadon Dam. The snowy Dam image was taken in 2021 and I have added an old (pre digital!) shot of Concorde from the 1990’s.
Watching Concorde visit Leeds Bradford was the highlight of my childhood, every time it came in my dad would take me to watch it land and take off and it always drew thousands of people to experience the epic sight and enormous sound! I will always remember people putting their fingers in their ears when it took off - the volume even setting car alarms off!
An amazing memory of Yeadon…I had some Christmas cards printed with this image which proved popular at my market stalls, evoking memories!
