Yeadon Dam Card Pack

£6.00
sold out

A selection of 4 wintery scenes of Yeadon Dam - or Tarn - whatever you want to call it! It has been a long disputed argument over the name of this beauty spot in the town where I live and hail from!

All taken during the famous snowfalls that came with “The Beast From The East” weather front with one composite image including an old shot (pre digital!) of Concorde departing nearby Leeds Bradford airport.

All cards are A5 size and include envelopes.

1. A snowy tree scene with the parks grandstand visible on the left and the faint attempt of a warm glow trying to penetrate the branches. “Merry Christmas” on the bottom right of the card.

2. The Winter Tarn, a warm glow from the low sun trying its best to warm the freezing scene! More Canada than Yorkshire! “Merry Christmas” on the bottom right of the card.

3. The lake itself with a thin covering of ice and surrounded by snow - that warm light in the sky trying to reflect in the water. “Merry Christmas” on the bottom right of the card.

4. A composite image of Concorde departing Leeds Bradford airport from a snowy Yeadon Dam. Concorde used to visit 2 or 3 times a year on special charter flights - drawing thousands to witness it and was a favourite sight and a personal highlight from my childhood. The image of Concorde was pre digital and added to the more recent wintery scene. The area is a great place to watch the aircraft taking off with the runway just behind those trees.
